Children from the Emerald Youth Foundation at Variety's Holiday Party in 2005  


Variety of Eastern Tennessee has helped hundreds of children in the Knoxville area through Kids on the Go! This program helps local families acquire special needs equipment for children with mobility challenges. We can help with prosthetic limbs, walkers, wheelchairs, specially-designed adaptive bikes, home and vehicular ramps and other types of devices which are beyond the financial means of the family.

how to apply for help

Please write to us about your child and include the following infomation:
(Note: If you are an East Tennessee children's agency, please go to Grant Application. This application is for individuals and families only.)

  1. Your name.
  2. Your address.
  3. Your phone number.
  4. Your child's name.
  5. Your child's age.
  6. Your child's diagnosis.
  7. Your total family income.
  8. Letter of Insurance Denial.
  9. Letter of Need by your doctor, nurse practioner or therapist.

Mail all of the above to:
